Integration
The road to your product with SUNFIBRE® technology, step-by-step
Learn about the individual phases as they take you from your original idea to successful serial production with integrated SUNFIBRE® technology. You can count on the full support of our team throughout the entire development process.
Idea evaluation
We’ll familiarise ourselves with your plans from the very outset: what is the product’s goal, what service will it provide, what sort of certification or washing requirements will it have, etc. We also want to hear your ideas about the price of the future product and other procedural or sales questions. Based on this preliminary information, we’ll assess whether we can hit your target from a technical standpoint and whether it makes economic sense.
Design
In Stage 2, we’ll search for the ideal solution for your production target. We’ll design a way to implement the SUNFIBRE® system into your product and also select the right powerbank. There are a few paths available for this part of our collaboration.
A) We send you a universal SUNFIBRE® sample
We’ll send you a universal sample, so you can get hands-on with SUNFIBRE® and consider how we can integrate it into your product. We’ll also include the following documents to make the job easier:
However, keep in mind that this is only a universal sample meant to offer a rough idea, and you can’t expect it to fit perfectly in your product. If you’d like to have a functional prototype already in hand, with the complete SUNFIBRE® set sewn into your product, then you should opt for another form of initial collaboration.
B) You send your product to us
The most reliable way to arrive at a functional prototype is to send your product to us, and we’ll integrate the SUNFIBRE® system into it directly. We’ll measure the product’s dimensions, suggest the length of the optical fibre, and add in the individual parts of the system – e.g., power banks and control buttons – and we’ll choose the ideal place to integrate the lighting cable. This is a quick way to get your hands on a prototype that you can test and decide on the following development steps.
C) You send a drawing or photo of your product to us
Another option is to send a drawing or photo of your product to us, and we’ll use it to draw a design with the optimal SUNFIBRE® set integration into your product.
Prototyping
Prototype production (may result in multiple prototypes) Once the designs from Stage 2 are approved, we’ll create a SUNFIBRE® set customised to your specific product. You can either follow the manuals from Stage 2A to integrate the set into your product yourself, or we’ll proceed as described in Stage 2B. The result will be a functional prototype, or even prototypes – there may be more than one, so we can test various designs.
Collaboration setup
Based on the prototyping results, we’ll select the final design together. In this stage, we’ll also agree on the Terms and Conditions – especially the pricing, production deadlines, and the scheduled production volume. This can also include our collaboration in both marketing and branding, e.g., the communication method for SUNFIBRE® technology in your product.
Salesman samples
Next come the so-called “salesman samples (SMS)” – samples intended for presenting the product to your customers. For instance, you can use these samples during the pre-order phase, dealings with business partners, or product presentations at trade fairs.
SMS also acts as a way for potential customers to see and handle the product integrated with SUNFIBRE® technology before it goes into serial production.
Pilot order
After a successful product presentation comes the pilot order, typically in a smaller amount (orders of 100 pcs). This stage allows the product with SUNFIBRE® technology to be tested in the real world. Such products are often deployed first amongst first responders, who can confirm their functionality, user comfort, and the solution’s overall benefit.
Serial production
After a successful pilot order, we’ll move on to serial production. This stage typically starts with large-volume orders, generally with 2000 or more pcs. In this stage, the product integrated with SUNFIBRE® technology is ready for real-world commercial rollout.
