Production facilities built for scalable manufacturing
The SUNFIBRE® production headquarters are in Turnov, inside modern premises with room to expand according to our clients’ needs. We also have access here to regional experts, since this area is known for its high level of expertise and craftsmanship. Plus, Turnov was voted in 2024 as the best place to live in the Czech Republic.
After a century of research, development, certification, and production setup, today we’re prepared for scalable, high-volume, automated production. When prototyping, we still rely on precise handiwork, however, sophisticated technology occupies our production halls.
Soldering under the supervision of an experienced team
The unique properties of SUNFIBRE® products are built on the materials used, how they’re processed, and our employees’ know-how. The diode location relative to the optical fibre is key to uniform light output – this design position is protected by one of our patents. When installing LEDs, we only use high-quality components from renowned manufacturers like OSRAM. The soldering itself takes place at professional stations that guarantee quality and maximum safety. To protect the health of our employees, all workplaces are equipped with effective ventilation. Our quality expert ensures final inspection.
The optical fibres are cut with maximum precision
Our special optical fibre cutting machine guarantees a clean cut at the precise length. The machine is completely unique, created to meet our specific needs. It allows us to provide consistent quality and minimise losses in lighting output that would be otherwise caused by non-precise or messy cuts.
Overmoulding electronics with our injection moulding machine
We overmould the parts with electronics using our injection moulding machine. This ensures they’re weatherproof and resistant to washing, as well as their overall mechanical robustness. The process protects the sensitive components and extends the lifespan of the solution as a whole, even in challenging conditions.
Final assembly on a dedicated line
Final assembly takes place on a specially designated production line. Our most experienced operators handle this precise process; many of them have been team members since day 1 of the project.
Every product undergoes multiple layers of quality inspection
All products undergo four rounds of quality inspection during the production process, including a specialised testing station that verifies that the components are functional and durable. Thanks to this multi-layered system, we can guarantee the high quality and reliability of every product.
