Colour samples

For all functional and aesthetic purposes — The SUNFIBRE® active lighting system is available in a wide colour palette to accommodate all your functionality and visual effect needs. The broad assortment of fabric sheath colours places special emphasis on high visibility (HV) options and neon shades, most effective in terms of visibility. Other colour options present a compromise between visibility and the final product’s design.

Our goal is to maximise visibility, which is why we recommend choosing colours that reflect light well (ideally lighter fabric sheaths). Contrarily, darker, subdued, and neutral colours are not suitable, as they suppress the light.

Samples and colour card

Be aware that the colours displayed online may not correspond with reality. We recommend viewing the individual samples in person.

We offer the samples of our standard fabric sheaths for free or via in-person pickup at any of our scheduled trade fairs, where you can also see the lighting cables lit up. Note: The samples contains only the sheath; not lit up.

Tips per use case when choosing diode colours

Choosing the right diode colour is fundamental to your product’s functionality and safety:

  • White light – most powerful and most visible from distances.
  • Red light – more easily dispelled in fog, rain, smoke, when snowing, or in dusty environments (e.g., for firefighters)
  • Blue light – often reserved for Integrated Rescue Systems.
  • Green light – e.g., used to identify key persons during an emergency.
  • IR light (infrared) – suitable for use with night vision (army, special units).

For fabric sheath orders over 1000 metres, we offer the option to have the colour adjusted according to your request and our joint mission: guarantee the best visibility.

What creates the lighting cable colour?

The lighting cable colour is determined by more than just the fabric sheath, but also its colour combination and implemented diodes (red, blue, green, white). For instance, a lighting cable with a grey sheath can shine blue; it all depends on the diode colour.
