Sustainability
A responsible approach to resources in all production stages
From product design and production to the final service, all our processes are arranged to allow us to work with every resource with maximum efficiency and avoid needless waste.
Product design
A sustainable approach starts when designing the product. All materials meet European standards, and when choosing them, we take into account their ability to be recycled and potentially used again in another future set (refurbished). We also design the products to be reparable, with the lowest possible consumption and compatibility with normally accessible power banks. That allows users to use devices they already have, and we’ll happily test their compatibility with our product for free. And if they choose a power bank from our selection, they can rest assured about its long-term functionality.
Supply chain
All material suppliers, whether from the EU or not, must present the necessary import certificates (RoHS, REACH, Bluesign). They then sign a Code of Conduct with us, which is an ethics code that defines how both parties should behave.

Production
Our ethics code also guides us during production. Of course, we uphold all OSH rules and procedures according to the ISO9001:2016 certification. Although we make custom products, zero unused stock is left behind, even for our clients. Our production generates the minimal amount of waste, while we also strive to deplete any defective or leftover materials. We emit zero smoke into the air, and we reduce any chemical fumes. We strive to save and protect natural resources with our every step.

Packaging and logistics
The fewer boxes, the better. Whenever possible, we consolidate orders into a single package, where we use recycled boxing and packing materials.

Product usage
SUNFIBRE® products have been optimised to be as energy efficient as possible. That way, users can rely on the fact that their products will remain fully functional, even over long-term use. All without needlessly wasting resources.

Repairs
The standard warranty period is 2 years, however, our client product services have no time restrictions. If anything should break, then we’ll most likely be able to fix it.
For large-scale clients, we also offer potential returns before a breakage occurs. In practice, that means we add backup products to every order. That way, any products needing repairs don’t have to be shipped on their own. And anytime we can reduce transport, we’re also reducing our carbon footprint.
The laser-etched QR codes on the individual components make each piece fully traceable. These QR codes help us identify which shipment the problematic pieces are coming from, and potentially stop the production or distribution of these defective components.
Disposal
Our clients can return used SUNFIBRE® components to us anytime. Not only will we recycle any returned products or parts, but we can also reuse them, for instance, in pro-bono projects or for clients who ask for these types of products explicitly. And if none of these options are available, we’ll ensure they’re ecologically disposed, including the SUNFIBRE® power bank.
